A range of opportunities for young people to engage with dance at all levels.
Dance Ireland offers a range of opportunities for young people to engage with dance at all levels and across dance styles. Currently we provide ongoing support to Company B, Irish National Youth Ballet and Dublin Youth Dance Company, as well as other groups.
Company B is Ireland's only contemporary dance company exclusively for young males and emphasises the idea of dance as a normal and enjoyable activity for boys. Company B has been led by choreographer Ciarán Gray since the beginnings of the company in 2008.
Irish National Youth Ballet (INYB)
INYB aims to provide an opportunity for young Irish Ballet dancers to receive world class training in Ireland from national and international teachers, and to work as a semi-professional company with the highest artistic standards.
Katherine Lewis has been Artistic Director of the company since 2007.
Dublin Youth Dance Company (DYDC)
DYDC aims to provide young dancers and choreographers with opportunities to train, rehearse and perform at a high level nationally and internationally.
The focus of the company is on contemporary dance and is led by Artistic Director Mariam Ribón.
