Workshops: ‘Womanism’ Research
Choreographer Laura Murphy would like to invite women, and those who identify as women, aged 18 + to join her upcoming research workshops for 'Womanism' as part of HATCH 2019 in Dance Ireland's DanceHouse studios.
During the workshops we will research and examine the art in women’s everyday lives. Through movement, story telling and film we will explore the everyday actions we perform. The artistic team aim to chronicle element of our daily lives, how we go about achieving our goals. We aim to celebrate the countless little tasks and chores that go into being ourselves.
During the workshop participants will have the opportunity to work with Choreographer Laura Murphy, Composer Irene Buckley, Writer Niamh Prior, Film Maker Mary Wycherley and Dance Artist Siobhán Ní Dhuinnín. The workshops will involve elements of movement and singing, story telling and video work.
Group one: Aged 50 +

Group two: Aged 30 - 50

Group three: Aged 18 - 30
Sat 30 Nov,10.30am – 12.00pm
Places are limited to 10 persons per group. Free Entry.
