TW1

TWI (@trainwith_01) is a workshop series taking place throughout the year in and around Ireland, curated and facilitated by Irish based artists Rocio Dominguez (@rosi.tamdominguez ) and Mufutau Yusuf (@jnr_yusuf ). Rocio and Mufutau invite international teachers to give an intensive dance workshop and engage in a creative exchange between the Irish scene and the international scene. It's an opportunity for dancers in Ireland to learn from international teachers and artists on Irish soil on a more frequent basis.

In this first edition, we have the immense pleasure to bring the amazing Karen de Luna to Dublin. Karen will be teaching her workshop-laboratory Present Body. The laboratory seeks to encourage an active corporal-stage practice, where the student is responsible for its process and not only imitates forms: “How to start a process and not just start it? How to be willing to respond and not react? How to expand our capacity to be present and listen? How to be one with the other and not one against the other? How to avoid falling prisoners in the manner of a teacher?”. This workshop is designed for dancers, circus artists, actors, martial artists or anyone interested in exploring and being curious.

- Early Bird booking until June 30th -
