About Tipperary Dance
Tipperary Dance is an artist-led, non-profit organisation. It acts as an international creative space that engages with artists and citizens while building and providing infrastructures for the art form of dance, by:
- Being a home for dancers, built on the practice of embodied knowledge to empower the voice or artists and citizens
- Creating and tending a network of International artistic practice and creation
- Challenging conservative and conventional frameworks of thoughts and practice, and shifting our perceptions and ways of thinking.
This is made possible thanks to a collaborative approach that involves a network of national and international partners, and of local stakeholders, including dance companies, independent artists, public authorities, venues, festivals and other dance organisations. And, of course, it is ultimately made possible thanks to our audiences and participants, and all the communities we have formed throughout the years
