TDP: Open Call - International Residences Exchange

The Programme

Tipperary Dance Platform’s International Residences Exchange programme is designed to support dance creation and the development of international links in the dance sector in Ireland. It provides creation residences and facilitates the encounter between Irish-based artists and our International partners Trois C-L in Luxemburg and Grand Studio in Brussels.

The 2021 programme will support two projects from Ireland, and host one project from each of our international partner venues.

The Residencies

This open call is directed to mid-career or experienced Irish-based artists in search of space and opportunities to develop new European partnerships for their work.

The opportunity includes a combination of three weeks of residence, in Tipperary and in one of TDP's partners’ spaces in Trois C-L or Grand Studio.

Designed for a maximum of three participants, each residence provides space, accommodation, a stipend for travel & subsistence, and opportunities to open artistic dialogues on your work. There are possibilities to host projects involving more than three participants, however the programme will cover expenses for a maximum of three people.

More about the Residences exchange programme

The TDP residencies program proposes to support and facilitate a decentralised creation framework for dance artists, involving an international network of expertise and partnerships to:

• Provide & facilitate residencies in Co.Tipperary

• Generate international exchange

This programme proposes a reciprocating exchange of residencies between TDP and Europe-based organisations: six residencies involving Irish-based and foreign artists.

A shifting landscape in arts resources has impulsed European stakeholders to build networks beyond national borders to facilitate co-production and dissemination. Dance artists are increasingly reliant on such networks to create and disseminate work. This project aims to strengthen the domestic dance sector, in interconnection with the international.
