Empowering Artists: Why do Artists need a Union?
Zoom Tuesday 6th June 7pm.
Low pay? Access needs not met? Unfit studio spaces? Insecure contracts, or lack thereof? Come to our open discussion and learn how to address these issues, united with fellow artists, June 6th, 7pm. Live captioning and Audio Description will be provided for the duration of the event.
Recruitment Officer, Tara Carroll, will host an online event for artists curious about the union who want to know more. She will facilitate discussions about; issues in your workplace and how we can address them together, building community across the industry, campaigning for better working conditions and the need for an all-Ireland, all-disciplines artists trade union to get these things done!
Particular space will be open to disabled and/or sick artists to discuss their perspectives and ask about the union's role in workplace equity.
This is an opportunity for artists to ask questions about the union and why joining a union will empower you in the workplace. Prospective and current members are welcome to the discussion.
