Scholarship to attend Healthier Dancer Days

30 & 31 October 2018

This two-day event, curated by Áine Stapleton, will examine often overlooked points of exploration in the area of dance and health. Curated by Áine Stapleton, this year's Healthier Dancer Days will explore self-care, physiotherapy, somatics, inclusivity, and improvisational composition. Participants will engage with cutting-edge techniques, which can be later applied to their individual practices. Sessions will be led by internationally renowned teachers Anya Porter, Michelle Boulé, Mary Nunan, Lisa Fitzpatrick, John Scott and Aoife Mc Grath.

The scholarship will cover:

Cost of attending all sessions on both days.
2 nights’ accommodation in Dublin
Local/National Travel
Per diems for meals and other daily expenses over the two days
 

About Healthier Dancer Days

Beginning in 2015, our Healthier Dancer Programme has grown to include a year-round focus on dancer health and wellness.  However, these two days allow us to put a concentrated spotlight on best practice, and to allow you as practitioners an intensive opportunity to not just maintain your wellness on all levels, but to offer a space to develop your learning in this aspect of your practice.

You must be a current Dance Ireland member to apply.  You can check the status of your membership or renew at any time through info@danceireland.ie.

Deadline:  28 September 2018 .

Please note:
Your ticket will be purchased in advance and provided to you. 
Your accommodation will be booked and paid for by Dance Ireland. 
Travel will be reimbursed upon provision of receipts.
Per Diems will be paid to your bank account in full before the event.
