Design for Dance Internship

Dance Ireland is offering an internship opportunity in partnership with Junk Ensemble connected to their new project, Soldier Still, which will be performed in Autumn 2017.

This internship is aimed at individuals with a general interest in design (lighting, set, sound, costume) and who wish to further their career, network span and practical education in these areas through a hands-on experience.

The chosen participant will have the opportunity to work closely with a group of highly skilled designers (lighting, set, costume, music), choreographers/directors and performers.

This internship is 7 weeks in duration and comes with a weekly stipend of €100 (total €700).  Applicants must be available for the full rehearsal and performance schedule for Soldier Still which takes place from 31 July – 17 September.

Applicants should be eager, willing to learn, and have a specific interest in design and production in dance. Applicants do not need to be practicing dance artists but should have some experience of working in dance.
