Dance Residency Opportunity at Garter Lane Arts Centre
As part of her Dance Artist in Residence position, Rachel Ní Bhraonáin is offering two 5-day residencies for dance artists/companies in Garter Lane Arts Centre’ Rehearsal Room in Waterford City this Winter.
The purpose of the residency is to afford you with an opportunity to research a new work, idea or area within your practice.
Dates Available:
November 27th - December 1st OR December 4th - 8th
About the Residency:
The chosen applicant will get 5 days in Garter Lane Arts Centre’s Rehearsal Room.
The working space in the Rehearsal Room is approx 9m wide and 7m deep.
Please note there are no mirrors.
Access to the room will be from 10am - 5.30pm.
The chosen applicant will receive a stipend of €800 towards travel, accommodation, expenses etc.
The stipend amount is the same regardless of the number involved. Please bear this in mind when applying.
You have the opportunity to present a sharing of your work to the public on Friday afternoon, if that is of service to your research.
Who Can Apply:
This residency is open to professional dance artists/companies based in Ireland. Multidisciplinary artists/companies are also welcome to apply but what you intend to use the week for must be clearly embedded in dance.
The purpose of the residency is to afford you with an opportunity to research a new work, idea or area within your practice.
You must be available for all 5 days of the Residency.
