A/W 2025 Dance Ireland Residencies

A/W 2025 Dance Ireland Residencies

Applications are now open for Dance Ireland Residencies taking place between September and December 2025.

The Dance Ireland Residency Programme supports Irish or Ireland-based dance artists   to develop new ideas, engage in research, or maintain their studio practice. These residencies are intended for non-funded artists or projects.

We offer support through:

  • Fully subsidised studio space at DanceHouse, Dublin
  • A €750 stipend per week for the participating artist

We are offering up to 8 residencies of one-week duration, in our studios at DanceHouse, with advice and support from the Dance Ireland team and the option of a studio showing through our New Movements programme.

To apply for and undertake a Dance Ireland Residency, you must be a Professional Member of Dance Ireland — with the exception of the Disabled Dance Artist Residency, which is open to all Irish or Ireland-based artists.Applications are made through an open call process and will be assessed by a panel including members of the Dance Ireland team and an artist representative. Residencies will be awarded on how well they meet the criteria.

Studios available for residency are generally small studios, if a medium studio is requested, we will try to accommodate, but it is dependent on availability. Please note that our small and medium studios do not have blackout blinds- to note if considering working with projection/dimmed lighting.

Residencies are offered as week-long blocks, Monday to Friday taking place during the day. Evening times are not possible.  The following dates are available for residencies in Studios 3 & 6 (small studios) *:

  • 8-12 September (Studio 3)
  • 22-26 September (Studio 3)
  • 6-10 October (Studio 3)
