Paul Johnson, Chief Executive to depart, Spring 2020
After thirteen years at the helm of Dance Ireland, the Board announces with regret that Chief Executive Paul Johnson will step down in spring 2020.
In paying tribute to his work, Chairperson John Malone, on behalf of the Board, comments: ‘we are grateful to Paul for his inspiring and refined leadership, distinctive vision, long-standing commitment and boundless energy, which has sustained us and moved us forward. His accomplishments at Dance Ireland are numerous, from being a driving force in securing our home DanceHouse, as well as many local, national and international strategic partnerships and creative collaborations.His constant focus has been on growing our programme of professional development supports for dance artists, with unique initiatives exemplified by Associate Artist, HATCH and Outside the Studio programmes. His contribution to our strategic vision has been invaluable, and he leaves Dance Ireland in a strong place, ready for the future’.
Paul will remain in post until a new Chief Executive is secured and the handover phase completed in Spring 2020.
The Board has commenced a recruitment process and will shortly advertise for a new Chief Executive.
