Making the next leap in your dance career with a FREE talk and photoshoot

Are you about to audition for a vocational school or about to graduate and are planning your auditions? You may have some questions about how to take these steps.

Dance Ireland and Dance World are here to help you. For one night only professional dancers, choreographers and directors will gather for a talk to support you in making the right decisions. Join us to gain an insight into preparing for auditions and understanding the audition process.  Booking HERE in advanced is essential.

Join our panel of experienced dance professionals for an inspiring and insightful evening to help you get to the next stage in your dance career.

Zoe Ashe-Browne: a soloist with Ballett Vorpommern, dance for film choreographer and director, former dancer with Ballet Ireland, English National Ballet and a graduate of the English National Ballet School. Zoe is co-director of The Dance Institute.

Martin Lindinger: a former dancer with companies including Rambert Dance Company, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (USA), The National Ballet of Canada, Ballet BC (Vancouver) and Scottish Ballet. He is currently the General Manager for Ballet Ireland.

Luke Murphy: a choreographer and performer based between Brussels, Cork and New York and director of Attic Projects. He has danced with Ultima Vez, Martha Clarke, Kate Weare,  John Scott and in projects including Jonah Bokaer and Bill T Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company. Luke is a Dance Ireland Associate Artist.

Leah O’Connor: a dancer and performer based in London, Leah started her training at The College of Dance and furthered her studies in Laine Theatre Arts London. She has worked with artists including Rebecca Ferguson, Mc Fly, Sara Alto, Dj Martin Garrick, Jess Glynn, Sinitta and Sean Miley Moore. She recently finished touring in Robert C Kelly's production of Beauty and the Beast. 

Liv O’Donoghue: a dancer and choreographer based in Dublin whose work has been performed internationally. She has worked with companies including Liz Roche Company, Fearghus Ó Conchύir, Irish Modern Dance Theatre, Yvonne McGuinness, Junk Ensemble and Emma Martin Dance. Liv is a Dance Ireland Associate Artist.

Marc Van Loon: a Choreographer, performance curator, dance teacher. Marc is teacher of contemporary technique and choreography at Fontys Dance Academy in Tilburg where he is also the coordinator of the graduation year.

We’ll look at topics which include:

  • how to know if the audition call is right for you
  • what photos and video material you should send
  • what to wear and how to present yourself on the day
  • how to get yourself known
  • what makes a good image and more

All who attend are also invited to sign-up for a FREE portfolio photoshoot in DanceHouse on Friday 16 February.
Each shoot will be 15 minutes so be sure to come warmed up and know what shots you need captured.
