Somatics in Action is a Pilates, yoga, and dance-inspired movement system that helps movers achieve optimum strength, skeletal alignment, and body-mind engagement. Somatics in Action for the Dancer is a two-day workshop that focuses on dancers consistently engaging with their body and mind’s inner wisdom, not only in quiet moments of reflection, but also in the very active moments of moving, dancing, and creating. The workshop is movement based and experiential. Dancers will engage with the material on a kinesthetic and intellectual level and reflect on their experience through prompts and journal writing.
