About this Workshop
This workshop focuses on the embodiment of mixed performance skills. Where we will play with intuitive voice, text and movement. Designed for creatives, artists and performers to begin or develop a multidisciplinary practice or simply for dancers who want to use their voice.
Jade works with multidisciplinary artists, theatre companies and individuals interested in using movement, text & voice in their practice or project.
During this 3 hour workshop we will begin with a breathing practice followed by a somatic sequence, we will do some creative writing facilitated by prompts (this is yours to keep or throw away it will not be used in the workshop), we will then look at a selection of texts and how we use the voice while we move with a series of breathing, articulation and voice exercises.
My aim is to share my artistic practice with fellow artists in a non-hierarchical environment and explore new ways of approaching Dance & Theatre making in a gentle and intuitive way.
