Drawing to a conclusion Dance Ireland’s 3 year Producer in Residence programme, The Practice Of Producing will be a thought provoking afternoon of presentations and discussion centred on four  constants that whatever else might be going on will always underpin the producing of Dance work; and that as we contemplate the future, remain pivotal to the practice of  producing.  

Including presentations by guest producers from Ireland and further afield, small group discussions and a final plenary, the afternoon will gather together and cross fertilise producing know how and intelligence; it is an invitation to step away from the desk, to come out of the studio or the theatre and to put the to “do list” in context: to network, acquire knowledge and insight, share experience, and importantly to feed into ideas and recommendations for what needs to happen next to keep building a vibrant, healthy dance ecology in which producing and producers can thrive.  

The Practice of Producing is for producers working in dance and/or related disciplines, self producing artists, presenters who programme dance and those working in dance development.
