Venue:
DanceHouse
Admission:
Free. RSVP to: reception@danceireland.ie

In this Outside the Studio session, led by Lara Hickey, we will look at the relationship between a Producer and choreographer and the impact this partnership can have on a production. She will also be joined by dancer & choreographer Lucia Kickham who will share her own experiences on producing her work.

Lara will give a talk and then lead a discussion about the role of the producer, the importance of understanding the producer / maker relationship and how to get the most out of your available budget for production support. Looking specifically at the various elements of project management during development, performance and on tour nationally and internationally, this session will focus on discovering what kind of support dance artists need and how to articulate those supports in a successful producing relationship.

This session is open to Dance Ireland members and their collaborators.
