Laura welcomes dancers from any genre, dancers who are practicing daily and those who haven't practiced in a while.
Laura's classes will begin with a gentle shaking practice to warm up your body. This will develop into structured improvisations and explorations of weight and rhythm searching for ease and flow in your movement. Laura's class offers a sense of groundedness in your body and in your dance.

About Laura
Laura Murphy is a choreographer, performer and teacher based in Ireland. Her work gives physical expression to ephemeral states of mind. Taking an expansive approach to dance, her work includes staged work, dance film, video installations, site-specific performances, solo and ensemble pieces and large scale, socially engaged dance projects.
Laura's teaching is rooted in her choreographic and her personal dance practices, along with her specialisation in Choreological Studies, the contemporary practices of Rudolf Laban. She teaches professional and community classes, and at third level institutes to include students at undergraduate, masters and PhD levels. She is currently teaching at Trinity College, Dublin.
