Welcome to the world of Irish Dance! Made famous by stage shows such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, Irish Dancing is unique in that we dance in both light and heavy shoes. Light shoe dancing shares some similar technique to ballet, though it moves much more quickly. Heavy shoe dancing shares some similarities with American tap and other forms of percussive dance. Irish dancing is a fantastic workout; it’s exciting, challenging, and extremely rewarding. These classes, designed specifically for adult dancers, provide the unique opportunity to learn Irish dancing at three distinct levels - Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced - and help students improve their technique, rhythm, and confidence, along with learning steps and routines for performance. Please note, you must have Irish dancing shoes (light and heavy) or ballet and tap shoes to participate in these classes.
