Join our 2024 HATCH artists in studio; there will be a short work-in-progress showing from our Creation Awardee, Eileen McClory, as well as a Q&A with all of the HATCH artists.
This is an opportunity to hear from a variety of dance artists, as they share insights into their practice, and how the awards have enabled them with their professional development.
After the sharing, we will host our annual Dance Ireland Member's Gathering!
*Please note* a ticket for the HATCH Sharing guarantees your entrance to the Members' Gathering afterwards, you do not need to book a separate ticket for the party if you wish to attend.

Nemesis: A Movement Opera
"With my HATCH creation award, I’ll be working with a team of dancers and singers to develop Nemesis: A Movement Opera, merging dance and vocal storytelling. In collaboration with poet Maria McManus and composer Keith Acheson, the project is inspired by a line from DUST: 'This womb will bear another revolution, and I will call it chaos, for out of chaos comes a dance—a fight for breath' (Available Light, 2018).
Nemesis builds on the themes of DUST, which examined demagoguery, political deceit, societal fragility, and the abuse of power. Inspired by Greek mythology, the piece is named after the goddess of retribution, who punishes those guilty of hubris. These ancient myths provide a powerful framework for exploring contemporary global issues." - Eileen McClory
Dancers: Sarah Ryan (week 1), Safire.Hikari, Jade O'Connor & Emily Killkenny-Roddy
Singers; Emma Nash, Megan O'Neill & Leanna Fitzgerald
