About the Class

Welcoming dancers with previous ballet experience, our Open Level Ballet class is a Grade 6 - Intermediate standard. It is a perfect class for dancers returning to ballet, who know ballet terminology or for dancers have progressed from our Thursday Beginner & Improver Ballet course & are up for a challenge.

Our classes are designed for fun, fitness and the love of ballet & dance and are set in a non-competitive environment.

This quick paced 75 minute ballet class will consist of a short warm-up, barre work, centre practice, allegro, pirouettes and some choreographed sequences across the room.

Ballet is excellent for improving posture, flexibility, co-ordination, muscle strength and toning, it has the advantage of working the entire body in just one ballet class. Ballet is a great way to build self-confidence and can also be an outlet; helping to relieve stress and anxiety.

To get an idea of the level of our Open Level class, please check out our videos & posts on our Instagram page at Dublin City Ballet School.

Special 2 class rate offered to dancers.

About Rebecca

Rebecca O’Brien Taylor started her ballet journey at 3 years of age. Over her 20 years of dancing, her love for ballet grew & she completed all of her ballet grade and vocational level examinations with Distinction. During this time, Rebecca went on to complete her Ballet Teacher Training in 2008 through the Royal Academy of Dance, London. She fully qualified in 2011 with Distinction and has since worked for one of the largest ballet schools in Ireland, as well as spending many years teaching abroad in renowned ballet schools across the UAE and Australia. Rebecca's love of teaching ballet prompted her to start her own school in 2017, The Dublin City Ballet School for children & adults. Her passion to bring the joy of ballet & dance to children with additional needs, prompted her to continue her studies in the area of special education. In 2018 she travelled to LA to further her expertise in the area of inclusive dance. As a result she now offers “Free 2 Be Me Dance” specialised dance classes for children and teens with additional needs. Rebecca is proud to offer an inclusive ballet school for all ages & ability.
