DI Residency: Laurie Schneider
- Mon 26 Apr 2021 - Fri 30 Apr 2021
- 10:00 - 18:00
The aim of this residency is to delve deeper into the body via the expandance techniques and Slings myofascial pathways in order to manifest and negotiate free movement. For all the perceived separate aspects to our body, mind and soul we function as one structural interconnected unit from conception to death. The idea that form follows function and function follows form, be that a physical activity, the space you live and work in, your response and feelings to those around you all has an effect on your own intracellular matrix of your body. Congestion or compression within the body can cause discomfort, injury and ill health.
Areas such as anatomy, healing, psychotherapy and a cross pollination of many different cultural interests and experiential ideas will inform Laurie’s residency. Though living in California, Rachel Wynne will be collaborating via Zoom in creation, codifying and Documentation of the residency.
