DI Residency: Junk Ensemble

Junk Ensemble will begin rehearsing for their new production, Dolores during their two-week residency at DanceHouse under the Dance Ireland Residency Programme. The process at this stage of development will involve the cast and workshops with the designers and musicians.
Dolores is an adaptation of Nabokov's novel Lolita, and will be an off-site work, scheduled to premiere in Spring 2018.
In addition to the performance, Junk Ensemble is curating and organising two symposia linked to the work titled The Book and The Body which will be held at NUI Galway and UCD, in coordination with Patrick Lornegan and Finola Cronin.
Dates for the symposia are:
NUI, Galway: Friday 13/Saturday 14 April
UCD, Dublin: Friday 20/Saturday 21 April
Both symposia are open to the public and are aimed towards dance artists, academics, theatre practitioners, literary authors, students.
Dolores is funded by the Arts Council of Ireland. Partners for the production and symposia are Project Arts Centre, Dance Ireland, Dublin Dance Festival, University College Dublin, NUI Galway, Live Collision, Dance City Newcastle.
