DI Partnership Residency: Isabella Oberlander

Mon 2 Mar 2020 - Fri 6 Mar 2020
10:00 - 18:00

DI Member Isabella Oberländer will be in residence in our DanceHouse studios for a development and research period for a new work she is creating.

With an ongoing interest in the representation of otherness, this work-in-development finds new territories by focusing on the materiality of the body, spatial relationships and the provocations of the Xenofeminist manifesto.

‘Unmade/Glisten’ is an attempt, an inquiry, a performative practice, sifting through what is already felt but not yet visible. Deeply rooted in the dancing body, it thrives to question and excavate the physical starkness of realities and imaginations of otherness. It aims for a visceral articulation of physicality and thought and strives towards a multitude of speculative futures.
