Aoibhinn O'Dea is a receipient of a Dance Ireland Residency in 2025. 

About Aoibhinn's Resicency Plans

This valuable time is completely dedicated to working on technique and solo development.  

Aoibhinn will use this week's residency to adapt the skills and techniques she has learnt during her time in Belgium. She will use elements of Anton Lachky's Puzzlework and acrobatic flow which she learnt from renowned dance teacher Lewis Cooke. 

She will use these tools to thatch together a new solo work. Later she will bring another dancer in to develop a duet. 

About Aoibhinn O’Dea 

Aoibhinn is a dance artist working across the dance, music and visual arts field. She has been recipient of the dance bursary and agility awards and her work has been supported by Light Moves, Bell Table, VISUAL, Carlow Arts Festival, Dance Limerick, UL Concert Hall, Temple Bar Gallery, Music Town (The Complex), IMMA, Dance Ireland, Glastonbury Festival, Electric Picnic, Altogether Now, among other venues and festivals.
