Join Ruaidhrí Maguire and Gearóid Solan in their dynamic cross genre dance partnering class and explore the art of collaboration through movement. 

Led by experienced instructors with diverse dance backgrounds, you will be guided through fundamental partnering techniques, focusing on weight sharing, balance, lifts, and fluidity of movement. This workshop will also investigate creative choreographic processes, allowing you to discover unique artistic expression within the context of partnered dance.

Regardless of partnering experience, this workshop is open to dancers of all levels and styles, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for exploration and growth.

ABOUT Gearóid Solan

Gearóid was born in Dublin and trained with Grainne McArdle and the late Katherine Lewis of Irish National Youth Ballet. At age 15 he furthered his dance training at The Royal Ballet School where he was given the opportunity to perform with the Royal Ballet on several occasions. Upon graduating he joined Ballet Zürich, dancing choreographies from Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe and Crystal Pite among others. In 2020 he joined Boston Ballet where he has gotten the opportunity to further develop through dancing a mixed rep of classical and contemporary works.

ABOUT Ruaidhrí Maguire

Ruaidhrí is an Irish ballet dancer and choreographer and is currently the youngest male principal dancer at the Baltic Opera Ballet, Gdansk, Poland, performing leads in Giselle, The Nutcracker, Cinderella and Don Quixote. As a choreographer he recently premiered new works ‘After/Before’ at Dancer From the Dance Festival, ‘Gigue I’ in Osaka, Japan, ‘Cloudburst’ and ‘Elegia’ with the Baltic Opera Ballet He recently premiered his new piece ‘Beating Streets in City Hearts’ at the Baltic Opera in Gdansk. As director of Six Dance Collective, he is currently working on brand new two-act ballet ‘White Doves’ which will take place in The MAC, Belfast 3rd-5th Aug.
