Explore the compelling choreography of Oona Doherty’s most ambitious work to date, Navy Blue

Oona Doherty has gained international recognition for her visceral movement style and her intense, compelling works that appeal for societal change. In this masterclass, participants will have the opportunity to explore some of the choreography from her most ambitious work to date, Navy Blue.

The workshop will include repertoire from Part One of the work – a type of contemporary ballet infused with dread. After a short break, Doherty will lead an improvisation to bring participants into a guided physical state, a technique used in Part Three of the work. If time allows, participants can also expect some clowning work to literalise and add narrative to the movement.

This workshop is suitable for professional dancers and dance students.
