Explore principles of being, identity, necessity and possibility with leading Montreal dance artist, Caroline Gravel.

Performer, dance artist, workshop and choreographic projects leader with Compagnie Catherine Gaudet, Caroline Gravel delivers this masterclass inspired by The Pretty Things and the themes of conformity, liberation and power that underpin the work.

Anchoring her practice in the physical and digital space, Gravel is known for her original approach as a contemporary dance performer. Through a series of guided explorations, participants are invited to play with the essence of consciousness and the relationship between mind and matter, substance and attribute, and potentiality and actuality. The practice is rigorous while also exploring each person's interests through the lenses of quality and value and their own personal desires, body archive and movement traditions. Participants are encouraged to move in whatever way they find most interesting and beneficial.
