Dance Ireland Residency: Sibéal Davitt & Olwyn Lyons

Wed 17 Sep 2014 - Wed 29 Oct 2014

Dance Ireland members Sibéal Davitt and Olwyn Lyons join us every Wednesday and Thursday over a seven-week period as they create new work to be performed as part of Echo Echo Dance Festival in Derry this November.

Sibéal and Olwyn’s interest lies in how they approach and engage in collaborative practice both in a choreographic sense and in the framework of integrating live work and video. They are currently developing multi-media installation work which incorporates their bodies as subjects.

Dance Ireland Residency is a key means of ensuring new dance work is made and dance artists have a chance of maintaining a studio practice. All Dance Ireland professional members, whether working as independents, companies, collectives and/or ad hoc ensembles are eligible to apply for a Dance Ireland Residency.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. As ever we remain sensitive to the needs of dance artists and aim to encourage all Dance Ireland members to avail of a Dance Ireland Residency. At a time of diminishing resources, this is a proactive means of facilitating dance makers.

Check here for more information on Dance Ireland Residency and how to apply.

Please note: This is not a teaching residency, for a list of Morning Classes at DanceHouse visit our training listings.
