The class will start with a warm-up that slowly awakens the body-mind, engages the breath and gradually prepares the body to become open and receptive for movement. It draws inspiration from various sources such as yoga, floor work, Klein-Technique and somatic principles.
This morning class is designed to access multiple threads at once such as: connection and use of the floor, greater range of motion and articulation, sensation of gravity, flow and ability to move with ease. The warm-up is followed by phrases that build towards more complexity. The aim is to explore the function of the body, its logic in each movement, and to start moving from an internal knowing while being powerful.
