Martin Lindinger teaches a strong ballet class which will challenge the dancer leading to increased strength and capaibilites. 

About Martin

Martin Lindinger was born in Munich, Germany. He trained at the Royal Ballet School in London, England and in 1998, joined the City Ballet of London as a soloist. In January 2000 Martin joined Rambert Dance Company where he had exposure to some of the worlds finest choreographers including: Christopher Bruce CBE, Jiri Kylian, Glen Tetley, Merce Cunningham, Mats Ek, Twyla Tharp and Hans Van Manen amongst others. The highlight of which was being chosen to perform the lead in Glen Tetley’s ‘Pierrot Lunaire’, which lead to critical acclaim.

In January 2003 he won the Critics’ Circle National Dance Award for Outstanding Male Artist (modern) and in November 2004 he joined Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (USA) under the directorship of Jim Vincent where he performed work by Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Lar Lubovitch and Nacho Duato. In October 2007 Martin joined the National Ballet of Canada and was instrumental in the creation of new works by many choreographers including Crystal Pite.

Since June 2009 he has been freelance and was a guest principal artist with Ballet BC in Vancouver, ProArteDanza in Toronto and David Hughes Dance in Edinburgh.

Martin has worked as guest repetiteur at the Croatian National Ballet for the re-staging of Ashley Page’s full-length ballet ‘Alice’, as Assistant Choreographer on ‘Orfeo ed Eurydice’ at Scottish Opera and also as Assistant Choreographer on ‘Krol Roger’ at the Royal Opera, Covent Garden.

About Daily Morning Class

The backbone of our artistic programme is our daily morning classes. Morning classes are aimed at an advanced level, appropriate for professional dancers and advanced level dance students. Dance Ireland employs highly experienced and innovative teachers from Ireland and abroad. We also partner with companies, venues and festivals in the delivery of classes, which alternate in week-long blocks between ballet, contemporary dance genres and other complementary practices. Commitment to high-calibre and accessible on-going training for dancers is key. Dance Ireland provides morning class at DanceHouse for over 42 weeks per year at a highly subsidised rate for members, including generous discounted class cards.
