This is a FREE event for children and families.

Cruinniú na nÓg, a Dublin City Council and Creative Ireland programme, aims to celebrate and encourage children and young people’s participation in culture and creativity through a compelling spread of performances, coding, theatre, art, dance and music workshops, readings and screenings, special events and much more. This variety of child-centred events will be free and activity-based, with plenty of opportunities for young people to get ‘doing’, ‘making’ and ‘creating’.

Creative Dance Workshop for Children aged 3-6 
Creative Dance is for families and children ( ages 3 – 6 years) for all to discover joyful, spontaneous expression together, through inspiring music, movement and imagination with dance artist Selma Daniel
Please note children must be accompanied by parents or a carer.

Dublin Youth Dance Company Workshop for Children aged 5-8
Join Toni Bravo of Dublin Youth Dance Company, to learn dance in an imaginative and creative way. 
A great opportunity to have fun, learn new moves and express yourself!

Noon-1pm

Dublin Youth Dance Company Workshop for Children aged 8-12
Take to the floor with Sue Malone - warm up through games and dance tasks followed by learning a short dance. You will learn new moves and discover ways to recreate your favourite ones!! 

1pm Irish National Youth Ballet Company: In Studio Performance 
Dancers from the Irish National Youth Ballet Company will perform excerpts from their recent show Snow White in costume.
You are invited to stay, play, and chat with the dancers about being in the company, what is really inside a pointe shoe, and try out a few steps with them!
Suitable for ages 3+

Dance Performances for all ages
Come and see dance in Liberty Park with performances from some of Ireland’s leading youth companies including: young dancers from Ballybough Youth Services Dance Team, Company B and Dublin Youth Dance Company

Le Cheile Family Friendly Dance workshop
A unique, once off dance event for children and their grown-ups to join in!
This is the final event of the Le Cheile Dance Project where everyone can get up and groove with hip hop, sean nós and contemporary dance moves with dancers Síbéal Davitt, Olwyn Lyons and Emily Kilkenny Roddy

Le Chéile Dance Project is a series of creative dance workshops taking place in primary schools and a youth group from Dublin inner city and the surrounding area. Le Chéile seeks to playfully examine togetherness through vibrant, energising weekly dance sessions. Children are engaging in lively, inventive workshops will be delivered though Hip Hop, Sean Nós and Contemporary Dance from professional dance artists. This project looks to foster a shared sense of achievement and strives to promote a sense of community amongst participants. Dance professionals Sibéal, Emily and Olwyn have been working with schools and a local youth group:

  • Ballybough Youth Services, Community Youth & Sports Centre, Ballybough, Dublin 3
