This class is an introduction to contemporary dance, focused on helping you to become more in tune with your body and on enjoying a sense of control in your movement, with the added bonus of it being a fun way to keep fit! Each class begins with a warm up of core exercises and stretching built into a flowing sequence of movement. Techniques and qualities such as weight transfer, core stability, grounding, alignment and balance are all introduced.

The class aims to explore the fundamentals of contemporary dance in a fun and safe way. All that is required is some comfortable clothes and a willingness to try!

Jessie is a Dublin based choreographer making work that crosses over into science, visual art and architecture. In 2018 she premiered her new work, Fragments, at the Dublin Fringe Festival.
