A class focused on weight and movement assisted by gravity. The class focuses on feeling the weight of the limbs and using this sensation to generate movement. The class will start with group warm-up and move through exercises and improvisation, in order to bring awareness to the weight of gravity acting on the body, and our constant communication with it.

ABOUT Ben

Ben is a Dublin based dancer with a passion for choreography and progressive artistic practice. From an early age, they started working with Company B, an all boys amateur dance company held in Dance House. During this time Ben worked on "It Folds" a joint collaboration between Brokentalkers and Junk Ensemble, for which Ben won “Best Performer in Dublin Fringe 2016”. After a period of training in Fontys Dance Academy, Ben returned to Ireland. Since returning, they have had the opportunity to learn from and work with; Keren Rosenberg, Oona Doherty, Muirne Bloomer, Alexandre Iseli, and Brokentalkers. Most recently Ben danced in Rachel Ní Bhraonáin's "MOSH" (Best Ensemble Dublin Fringe 2023).
