Unique opportunity to join Aoife and learn an embodied vocal and movement training.
Covering combinations of extended vocal technique, contemporary dance and embodied anatomy practices, lessons include breath-work, resonance, sounding vowels and scales. Ideal for dancers wishing to explore movement with speaking, sound and song.
Classes are suitable for both beginners and experienced performers in any art form.

About Aoife McAtamney
As a dancer Aoife studied in London Contemporary Dance School and as an apprentice to The Forsythe Company. She went on to work with Oona Doherty, Emma Martin and Ioannis Mandafounis. As a choreographer was the first Irish female Aerowaves selected artist for her sound and movement solo ‘Softer Swells’ and an Associate Artist of Dance Ireland. Aoife releases dance and music projects as Daughter Of A Drum and has featured on RTÉ Radio One’s recommendations list and BBC Sounds, presenting at Ireland Music Week with her music described by the Irish Times as ‘epic quality’.
Aoife has studied extended vocal technique with Meredith Monk, Michelle O Rourke, and Dahlia Khan and is currently a student of SME Body Mind Centering with Embody Moves UK. Aoife completed The Art of the Voice, The Actors Practice with Helena Walsh & graduated with MA Hons in Songwriting from the University Of Limerick. Past vocal coaching includes dance company United Fall, OD Works for Oona Doherty’s ‘Lady Magma’ with masterclasses at University of Limerick, Solstice Arts Centre and Dance Ireland.
