This classes focuses on movement designed to stretch the spine and muscles while working on the alignment, improving the balance through an effective use of the core muscles, facilitating efficiency of the movement.

The class progresses through dance routines with a range of technical challenges. The end salutation provides a cooling down of body and mind, instilling a calming and soothing effect on the entire being. 

This unique approach to teaching provides the participant with a very enjoyable and comprehensive dance experience.

Classes are ideal for people with experience in various forms of dance and movement techniques aiming to offer the participant a unique and fresh approach, challenging them to reach their full potential.

ABOUT MARIAM

Mariam Ribón, originally from Spain, moved to Dublin late 1995. As a professional dancer she has worked with National Dance Companies and independent choreographers in Ireland including Irish Modern Dance Theatre, Daghdha Dance Company, New Balance Dance Company, MaNDaNCe, Cóis Céim, Catherine Young Dance and Mairead Vaughan.

Mariam graduated with First Class Honors in her Master in Contemporary Dance Performance at Limerick University.

She leads as Artistic Director, the Dublin Youth Dance Company and the Irish Youth Dance Festival since 2002.

Mariam has an extensive experience as a teacher, her method and pedagogy appeals to all ages from children, to young people, young adults and adults.

Mariam believes that ‘our body is our temple’ and such we must look after it and exercising through dance is one of the best ways of maintaining healthy and strong.
