Biography

Born in Cork, Patricia Crosbie was a member of Irish National Ballet company for 6 years, dancing lead roles including Swan Lake, Cinderella and Nutcracker. Upon moving to London she was principle dancer with London Ballet Theatre and Vienna Festival Ballet. She toured worldwide with the renowned band, The Kinks, choreographing and performing in their concerts. Patricia has taught at Dance Ireland, Dance Limerick, Dance Cork Firkin Crane, Irish National Youth Ballet, Cork College of FET, Kinsale College of FET and MTU Cork, among others. She was Associate Artist at Dance Ireland (2015-2016) choreographing her ballet, Journey Through the Mirror, and conceived and performed online Tea and Ballet: "a look at and explanation of classical ballets in a relaxed atmosphere" in collaboration with Dance Cork Firkin and Cork Cultural Companions in 2021. Patricia is ballet mistress and choreographer with Cork City Ballet where she choreographed her critically acclaimed ballet, The Playboy of the Western World, and her jazz ballet, Bodyguard. She is ballet tutor at the Irish World Academy of Music & Dance in UL and teacher/choreographer at Cork Youth Ballet Company.
