Kevin Witzenberger

Kevin's high academic ballet education will offer you a ballet class rooted in the Vaganova and French Method. The class will be a wonderful mixture of working on technique, musicality and artistry, following the usual progression through barre work and centre practice, to pirouettes and allegro. It will be suitable for all professional dancers seeking to maintain strength, technique and the key element which is to enjoy dance!

Kevin was born in Augsburg, Germany and started dancing at the age of five in his home town at the Ballett und Tanzforum Otevrel. In 2011, he furthered his ballet training by accepting a scholarship at the renowned John Cranko Academy in Stuttgart where he graduated with a State Diploma in 2018. During his time at the school he had the chance to work with the Stuttgart Ballet in classic pieces such as: „Don Quixote“, „Swan Lake“, „Sleeping Beauty“ and „Romeo & Juliet“. He also performed pieces in contemporary repertoire including: „A Spell on You“ choreographed by the world-renowned choreographer Marco Goecke, which was performed not only in Stuttgart but also at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and the Kremlin Theatre in Russia. Shortly before graduating Kevin did a one year internship at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in Saint Petersbourg ,Russia.

After Graduation in July 2018 Kevin immediately joined The National Ballet of Ireland where he performed in major classical ballets such as „Swan Lake“ „The Nutcracker“ etc. as well as a broad contemporary repertoire including works like „US“ by Zoe Ashe Browne and „Minus 16“ by Ohad Naharin. Kevin's recent guest performances include „Cinderella“ „The Goldberg Variations“ "Swan Lake" and "Three Preludes" by Ben Stevenson.
