Alex Vostokova

Date:
Mon 19 Feb 2024 - Fri 23 Feb 2024
Time:
10:00 - 18:00

Over the course of the week, Alex's primary objective is to utilize the available studio with a dual focus: Firstly, the allocated time and space in the studio will provide a crucial opportunity for deep reflection on the current composition of her work in progress “Logic of Wrong and Rehearsed Carelessness” allowing for a nuanced exploration of its elements and potential refinements, researching dreams, eastern european folklore, time play, improvisation and characters reflecting elements of solitude.

Following a number of textual explorations, IAlex would like to immerse herself in the physical space, translating textual personas into living, breathing embodiments through the medium of movement. This will involve engaging in various improvisation and composition exercises, deepening her understanding of characters and giving life to their intricate personalities.

Additionally, Alex would like to enrich and share her practice culminating in a workshop at the end of the period involving: a comprehensive physical warm-up to prepare the body thoroughly. Subsequently, participants will engage in continuous movement, facilitating the release of pent-up experiences and encouraging an open flow of expression. The method’s vision is for the body to develop as a source of endless vocabulary and for each participant to transform into an ongoing physical storyteller.
