About the Class

Our beginner foundation program is designed for first time learners and it will help you build strength, improve coordination, and increase their stamina while enjoying the rhythms and beats of African dance and music.
Every month we incorporate and work on movements from various African traditional dances, including Nigerian, Congolese, and South African dances.
At Uma, we offer a rich cultural experience. Through the dance movements and music, you get to learn about the history and traditions of different African cultures and develop a deeper appreciation for the diversity and richness of African art and music.

Our classes are designed to give you an authentic afro experience, while learning about the culture and steps.
