About the Class
Looking to take your Afro dance skills to the next level? Our Intermediate Afro Dance class is designed for dancers who are ready to advance their technique and become more versatile and intentional in their craft.
Building on foundational skills from beginner classes, this course introduces more intricate movements and complex choreography. We incorporate elements from various traditional African dances and music styles, allowing you to explore the diversity and richness of African dance culture.
In these classes, expect to master advanced footwork, arm movements, and body isolations, which will help improve your endurance, strength, and agility. The routines are longer and more challenging, requiring a strong understanding of basic Afro dance moves and a certain level of fitness.
As you progress, you’ll also enhance your musicality and expression, learning to interpret the rhythms and beats of African music with more creativity. This class will help you develop your own unique style while providing opportunities for improvisation and experimentation within the dance form.
Join us in a supportive and inspiring environment, where you’ll push beyond your comfort zone, expand your skill set, and grow alongside fellow passionate dancers.
