As part of Artists Encounter, three former Aerowaves choreographers will present extracts of their work in a triple bill: Silvia Gribaudi (from 2010) will perform her solo ‘A corpo libero’, Eva Recacha (from 2023) will present the solo ‘Because I Can’ performed by Lauren Potter and Jean-Baptiste Baele (from 2023) will perform ‘Nabinam’. After the performances dramaturg Monica Gillette will facilitate a talk with the artists.

This will be followed by a reception hosted by Dance Ireland.

About Aerowaves Artist Encounter

Aerowaves' Artists Encounter is an intensive capacity building programme which includes professional development, activities around curation and networking opportunities. 

The fourth edition of Artists Encounter will take place at Dance Ireland from 4 until 8 November 2024, with 11 dance makers based in Ireland. It will include performances of three former Aerowaves artists, Silvia Gribaudi, Eva Recacha and Jean-Baptiste Baele. The participants will attend shared physical practices led by the choreographers and experienced teacher and performer Lauren Potter, and will analyse the dramaturgy of the works and explore compositional tools. The project brings additional expertise through renowned dramaturg Monica Gillette and other facilitators to help contextualise the performances and connect to the practices of the participants.

Artists Encounter Dublin 2024 is organised in collaboration with Dance Ireland, and with the support of The Arts Council and the Italian Cultural Institute in Dublin.
