Niamh is a recipient of a Dance Ireland Residency in DanceHouse 2021.

Niamh graduated from the Scottish School of Contemporary dance in May 2018. Since then she has taught with Scottish Dance Theatre, CityMoves, The Space, Shaper/Caper and Byre Youth and Community arts, designing classes for all ages and levels with a focus on fun and creativity. Niamh is a qualified Inclusive Dance Teacher.

A keen dance maker Niamh has had work performed at festivals in Ireland, Scotland and Denmark. She is most inspired by mythology and folklore. She is currently developing "An Fathach Mor" (The Big Giant), an interactive children's Dance Theatre show and "The Fairy Wives", a set of 3 15 minute solo, dance performances on young female performers. Each is based on a different female mythical creatures, a selkie, a witch and a changeling, how they are portrayed and what was expected of them.

Niamh has a special love for improvising having taken workshops with Rosalind Crisp, Maya Carroll, Katie Duck and Andrew Morris among others. 

She has performed in improvisation nights with Something Smashing in Edinburgh and Third thread in Dundee.

She is currently a part of the Dance Base DEBS program mentored by Angus Balbernie.
