Lily Deveney
Pre-Professional
Born in Dublin, Lily trained with Lauren Speirs and was a member of the Irish National Youth Ballet.
During her time in the Irish National Youth Ballet, she performed numerous roles such as Snow Queen and Lead Mirliton in Nutcracker and Cinderella (Killian O’Callaghan) and various roles in Snow White (Stephen Brennan). Lily joined Ballet Ireland as a ‘Lady in Waiting’ during their performances of Swan Lake in the Gaiety Theatre.
She then accepted a place in Central School of Ballet, London, where she graduated in July 2023 with First Class Honours. Here, Lily enjoyed getting the opportunity to train in a variety of styles such as classical ballet, contemporary (Graham and Cunningham techniques), improvisation, Flamenco, jazz and musical theatre. She performed in their annual summer shows and was fortunate to get the opportunity to perform in the Unite for Ukraine Gala in Sadler’s Wells Theatre, London.
In her final year at Central, Lily was a member of student touring company Ballet Central performing in various theatres across the U.K. Lily had the opportunity to work with renowned choreographers such as Morgann Runacre-Temple, Darshan Singh Bhuller and Michael Pink and perform leading roles in their pieces.
Since graduating, Lily has become a freelance dance artist and has continued her artistic development in London training with various teachers, and participating in numerous workshops and masterclasses. She has performed in events with Beyond Repair Entertainment and has had the opportunity to be part of commercial shoots with brands such as K-Way.
