Florentine Ryan
Pre-Professional

Florentine began training at Francis Ryan School of Dance at the age of four in ballet and modern dance.

She then went on to train at the Debbie Allen School of Dance in ballet and modern at the age of 12. She completed a Level 5 with a Merit and a Level 6 with and a Distinction in Dance Studies at Inchicore College of Further Education. She is currently completing her BA (Hons) in Professional Dance Performance at Dundee and Angus College. She achieved a higher merit in her Rad Intermediate exam in June.

She is pursuing a career as a contemporary dance performer and is interested in choreography. She was a member of Dublin Youth Dance Company senior company for two years from September of 2022 until September 2024, where she has partook in residencies with contemporary choreographers based in Ireland, Scotland, Portugal and England. In July of 2023 she performed with the senior company in DYDC's IYDF, the company's annual dance festival and participated in an exchange with Y Dance Scotland, performing in Scotland. She has choreographed and performed solos for Wicklow Screendance Festival, Inchicore College's Dance Moves 2024 and Irish Youth Dance Festival 2024.
