Aine Kidney
Pre-Professional
Born in Dublin, Aine trained in Debbie Allen’s School of Dance and was a member of the Irish National Youth Ballet. Previously, while living in the USA, Aine trained at the University of Hartford Community Dance division under the leadership of Sarkis Kaltakchian.
She then accepted her place in the School of Ballet Theatre UK, where she currently trains.
During her time in the Irish National Youth Ballet, she performed the role of Cinderella in Killian O’Callaghan production of Cinderella, Swanilda in excerpts of Coppelia and various roles in Nutcracker (Killian O’Callaghan). Aine also had the opportunity to join Ballet Ireland as a ‘Lady in Waiting’ during their performance of Swan Lake in the Gaiety Theatre.
At the end of the 2021/2022 season, she was awarded Senior Dancer of the Year with INYB.
Since joining The School of Ballet Theatre UK, Aine has trained in various disciplines of Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Improvisation, Choreography and Jazz. In her first year, she has performed many roles including the variation ‘Hebe’ from Awakening of Flora and ‘Swanilda’s Friends’ in Coppelia. Following the 2022/2023 academic year, Aine received the Award for Most Progression in the school.
