New Movements

An opportunity for dance artists to present their work and receive feedback.

Open studio sharings are a valuable platform for dance artists to present their work in developement to an audience. This provides an encouraging space to explore, experiment and gather constructive feedback.

Our New Movements is an informal, no tech, studio platform for work in its developmental stages - 'fresh from the studio'.   To achieve this, we encourage a two-way sharing model:

  • Encouraging the artist to express his/her unique artistic fingerprint on a space and an audience and a chance to gather feedback from an audience at an early stage to continue developing the work
  • Creating a space for an audience to get an insight into the work and artistic process, and to build interest in seeing the work come to fruition.

These showings follow a Dance Ireland Residency in our DanceHouse studios.
