Dance Ireland's continuous Professional Development opportunities enhance the knowledge and skills of dance artists through a range of initiatives both nationally and internationally.

Our programme is constantly evolving with the changing needs of the sector as we champion and facilitate the development of quality new work, new ideas & news ways of working. 

We work with dance artists at all stages of their career and practice to support their artistic and professional development. We devise  professional development opportunities through consultation (formal and informal) with artists and national and international partners. 

Excellence and experimentation in dance are central to its development and the backbone of all that we do. We are at the forefront by providing opportunities for research of practice as well as creating the conditions & offering the supports that encourage innovation, excellence through faciliating new thinking, new work and new ways of working, for example through our Residencies (process-focus), Associate Artist, HATCH and Mentorship initiatives.
