Dance Ireland Residencies: Open Call
DANCE IRELAND RESIDENCIES – OPEN CALL Spring/Summer 2025
Applications are now open for Dance Ireland Residencies taking place between January and August 2025.
The Dance Ireland Residency Programme exists to support dance artists to develop ideas for a new dance work, engage in artistic research, and maintain a studio practice. Residencies are aimed at non-funded artists or projects. We offer support through wholly subsidised studio space at DanceHouse, Dublin, and a stipend of €750 for the week.
Applications are made through an open call process and will be assessed by members of the Dance Ireland team and an artist representative. Residencies will be awarded on how well they meet the criteria.
We are offering up to 8 residencies of one-week duration, in our studios at DanceHouse, with advice and support from the Dance Ireland team and the option of a studio showing through our New Movements programme.
Studios available for residency are generally small studios, if a medium studio is requested, we will try to accommodate, but it is dependent on availability. Please note that our small and medium studios do not have blackout blinds- to note if considering working with projection/dimmed lighting.
Residencies are offered as week-long blocks, Monday to Friday taking place during the day. Evening times are not possible. The following dates are available for residencies in Studios 3 & 6 (small studios)*:
- 24 – 28 Feb (Studio 3)
- 3 – 7 Mar (Studio 6)
- 24- 28 Mar (Studio 3)
