Dance Ireland’s New Strategy and Brand Identity

Dance Ireland is delighted to launch its Strategic Plan 2025–2028, a responsive roadmap shaped through deep listening, learning, and dialogue with our dance community.

Released on International Dance Day 2025, this strategy reaffirms our commitment to advancing the art form of dance, empowering artists, and supporting a sector that continues to grow in diversity, complexity and creative energy.

At the heart of this new strategy is a clear purpose: to lead and to listen, to support and to challenge, to hold space for artists and for dance to evolve and thrive. We recognise the shifting nature of our cultural landscape, nationally and internationally, and the growing need for flexibility, collaboration, and sustainability. This plan reflects our intention to work co-responsibly with artists and stakeholders, to foster an environment where creativity can flourish and where artists are supported to shape the future of dance.

A New Look to Match Our Vision

To support the delivery of our strategic ambitions, we’re also unveiling a refreshed brand identity for Dance Ireland, one that reflects who we are today and where we’re headed.

Our new visual identity is rooted in our core values: sustainability, interpendence and inclusion. It reflects our commitment to championing the art form, supporting artists at all stages of their careers, and connecting dance to broader cultural and community contexts.

Designed to be dynamic and adaptable, our new visual language is professional, inclusive and ambitious for the future. Our typography is clear and rigourous. Our colour palettes are bold and optimistic. And our new patterns and image treatments reflect the movement, rhythm, and diversity of dance itself. When used together, our flexible design system allows us to communicate with authority when needed, while adopting a more approachable, accessible voice where appropriate. This enables us to strike the right balance for a national organisation serving broad and diverse audiences.

Together, our strategy and brand express a unified vision for Dance Ireland: one that embraces change, invites collaboration, and puts artists and the art form at the centre.
