PROFESSIONAL MORNING CLASSES
The backbone of our artistic programme is daily professional morning classes. All classes are aimed at an advanced level appropriate for professional dancers and advanced level dance students. Dance Ireland employs highly experienced and innovative teachers from Ireland and abroad, and liaises with companies, venues and festivals around the country to encourage visiting artists to teach class when possible. Dance Ireland provides morning class at DanceHouse for over 45 weeks per year, including Summer Intros programme in August.
INTERNATIONAL GUEST RESIDENCIES, MASTERCLASSES AND WORKSHOPS
This programme provides the opportunity to meet, work and learn from some of the world's finest dance artist teachers. Scheduled throughout the year, the focus is on introducing new working methods, stimulating creative processes and presenting the best in current international dance practice and research. We invite teachers, dance artists and other arts professionals, working from within a broad spectrum of dance styles, to share their work in a spirit of lively creative enquiry.
CHOREOGRAPHIC WORKSHOPS
Designed for artists from all genres interested in collaborating with dance to meet and build creative partnerships, Choreographic Workshops include workshops, residencies and master classes which help develop skills and cross creative boundaries. As part of this programme we also offer multi-disciplinary exchanges for debate and sharing between dance artists and other artists. Registration is strongly advised.
SEMINARS/COURSES
An ongoing series of seminars, information days and workshops aimed at resourcing dance artists by giving practical insight into areas such as budgeting, funding opportunities, marketing, and touring/production. Previous seminars and courses have included Dance Producer Seminar, Occupational First Aid Courses and Funding Clinics.
In addition, other professional development opportunities of interest to members include Dance and Public Art Day, Dance Research Reading Discussion Group, and Thinking, Talking, Writing Dance workshops.
